Profile:
The Township of Springwater is a thriving municipality of approximately 18,000 residents located in the heart of Simcoe County. The Township is composed of rural and urban communities with three major centers including Midhurst, Hillsdale and Elmvale. The Township also houses various community centers, heritage locations, parklands, businesses and residential areas.
Springwater was created in 1994 by the amalgamation of the Village of Elmvale, Flos Township and Vespra Township. Municipalities that border the township include The City of Barrie, The Town of Wasaga Beach, and the Townships of Clearview, Tay, Tiny, and Oro-Medonte.
Municipal services provided include Parks and Recreation, three Library branches, Fire and Emergency Services, Planning, Building, Finance, and Public Works (roads, sewers, wastewater treatment etc.).

Springwater Council has been striving to expand and increase communication with the community. To respond to this need, the Township has designed a weekly newsletter, the ‘LINK’, to highlight information that Springwater residents and businesses need to know including Township notices, Township events, Council news, and important issues facing the municipality.
